I'm not weighing in tonight ... that will have to wait until tomorrow. I am going to aerobics tonight in a desperate attempt to undo at least some of the damage I inflicted on my weight loss this week. It was a week of diet dreadfuls.
Dreadful Number 1 - Hubby's birthday. This meant birthday cake (chocolate celebration cake from asda, delish) and a Chinese takeaway (I could have been good and had a chow mien but I wasn't and had the authentic oriental choice of Chinese chicken curry and chips lol).
Dreadful Number 2 - Socialising. Hubby's birthday was on Thursday and seemed to stretch over the hole weekend with different gatherings. A meal out at the pub on Friday (I had a veggie pasta dish with garlic bread and 3 glasses of wine), a fish and chip late lunch followed by watching a fab jazz pianist at a little pub in cannock on Saturday (they also fed us grey peas and bacon bits at the pub and I can't begin to tell you how much red wine was consumed).
Dreadful Number 3 - Hangover. I woke up Sunday afternoon feeling fairly ropey and depressed after all that wine. I managed to force feed myself two crumpets for 'breakfast' at about 1pm, then we had to get out of the house for Hubby's birthday outing to Go Ape. I snaffled twix and a full fat sprite before climbing around in the tree tops for three hours. Surprisingly, climbing up trees and then jumping off them is quite a good cure for a hangover.
Dreadful Number 4 - All-You-Can-Eat. Needless to say we were all starving after doing the rounds at Go Ape. Some little blighter (it wasn't me) mentioned Curry. Once someone says the words Curry it is impossible to take it back and everyone can immediately taste it in the back of their mouth. I probably burned a few calories monkeying around for the afternoon but promptly piled them all back on at the Hot Rock Sunday Buffet.
With best behaviour followed by aerobics (which is going to really hurt after yesterdays tree top exertion) I might be able to scrape a bit of it back perhaps. I would be ecstatic with a stay-the-same this week but I wont hold my breath.
