Good weigh in

I was good ALL weekend. I didn't do much exercise apart from about 10 minutes on the stepper to be honest but I was really busy around the house and didn't really stop all weekend.

I had salad for my lunch on Saturday and a ww curry for tea. On Sunday I had a pear for lunch and a salad for tea. I even cooked Tony and Finley bangers and mash for their tea, but still went for the salad to be good. I was on a mission and nothing was going to stop me lol.

On monday (weigh in) I was again good during the day and had the usual banana and cereal bar for breakfast and salad for lunch along with a new favourite of mine..the healthy choice muller corner. Weigh in went well...Very well. I lost 3 and 3/4lbs and now weigh 10 stone 4lb. Wooowooo. For tea I did treat myself and had a burger in a bap with salad and a handful of chips. I also had a curly wurly as I had forgotten to by myself a cadbury wispa...gutted!!!

I need to find out how many points I can have a day to maintain my weight. I have also booked in to the gym on Wednesday and Friday.

Gemma Hates Weigh In

I do hate it y'know. Really. Even when I KNOW not to expect a weight loss I still hate stepping on the scales. This week I stayed the same and i knew i would as i had a sneaky weigh in at home before i went ... but I also started a new regime today so I'm trying to stay positive. Writing everything down. I know I should be doing that anyway but I hardly ever do and end up overeating. I'm going to write it all down. Even the bad stuff. Even though there wont be any bad stuff of course! And measure things. I just weighed my HE of baked potato for my tea which I'm having with salmon and hollandaise sauce (a packet mix, 1 syn made with a HEa of milk) and mange tout. Yum. I'm going to finish my wine off too lol. It will push me slightly over my syns for the day but it's weigh in day and everyone has a treat on weigh in day. I heard a rumour that Saint Jayne is having a Cadbury's Wispa!!!

Half Good, Half Naughty

I have done LOADS of exercise this weekend but I also had quite a lot of naughty treats too. Half good, half naughty.
  • After work on Friday I did a half hour on the wii fit - rhythm boxing, jogging, step aerobics a bit of yoga and some muscle workout ... and although we didn't have our usual Friday night take out (had a lean steak sandwich with horseradish instead) I did have a couple of cookies, a cadbury highlight trifle and three glasses of wine.
  • On Saturday we got up reasonably early and met up with some friends for a walk up the wrekin ... but I did have an ice cream on the way down and then a cajun chicken sammo in the pub. We went to see some friends on the evening and had a Chinese with them (the set menu for four from the Double Luck was really lovely!) and I drove so I only had diet coke and no wine.
  • Despite the fact that I reeeeally didn't want to get out of bed I did make it to the 10.30 spinning class on Sunday morning. I had weetabix for breakfast and a couple of scotch pancakes for lunch and a roast chicken dinner (all cooked low fat) ... but then I had a piece of mother-in-law's chocolate fudge birthday cake and later a couple of glasses of wine and some nuts.

So I was really good in terms of exercise ... food, not so much. It certainly wasn't the worse weekend I ever had and I really enjoyed it too. I have a slimming world food diary sheet printed off for this week. I am going to try following it to the absolute letter and write down everything this week especially if I am going to meet my 7lb in 7 weeks target!

Need to be good this weekend

I am writing this so that it will make me think about it at the weekend when I reach for those biscuits.

I weighed myself last night and it showed a little loss so hopefully if I keep this up over the weekend I will like what I see on the scales on Monday. I don't have any plans for a takeaway at all. NO NO NO. In fact I am going to be sooooo healthy. YES YES YES.

I went to the gym on Wednesday and I am going at 2:30 today. All booked in a raring to go. I did a few sit-ups last night, I keep saying it but I do really need to get back in to doing those. I am (around) the weight I am happy with (when i loose the 3lb i have put on) and now need to tone and firm up, especially around the tummy area.

Here's to a well behaved healthy weekend.

What's 1lb among friends?!

This week my blatant inactivity and overeating had a negative affect on my weight loss, in that I didn't have one. In fact I had a 1lb gain. Back to 11st 4lbs for me. Again. At this rate I would actually be pleased to get back to 11st 2 and 1/4 lbs (but perhaps that's just crazy talk?)!!!

Plan for this week ... Exercise. No excuses now, my assignment is done, I'm all up to date with my course work, the house isn't (too) messy, it's not my birthday or any other food related celebration. I *must* behave. Tonight is wii fit night. Also we have no food in the fridge and the shopping isn't being delivered till Friday so it should be easy not to stuff my face. Might get the hula hoop out actually as I haven't done that in a while. There's a possibility of another Sunday morning spin class too. Target weight loss for next week? 1 and 1/2 lbs.

Saint Jayne is back

Bugger!!!! I have gained 3lb. I was hoping that I would have lost a bit within that one day of weighing myself lol. I now weigh 10st 7 3/4lbs.

So my mission is to loose that 3lb as quickly as possible. Back to being Saint Jayne for a few weeks then *crap*. I had fruit for lunch and salad for tea yesterday. I am going to the gym today and will go on Friday. I may go spinning on Sunday but that's not definite yet.

Awful Awful AWFUL Weekend.

Vix is not the only one to have had a naughty weekend well and truly off the wagon. I have spent at least 20 hours of this weekend sat on the sofa at my laptop writing my absolute nightmare of an examinable assignment for my penultimate post-graduate module. It was not a fun assignment to write. In fact I hated every second and as comfort to myself I ate more crap than you can imagine.

I feel as though I should write a list of what I ate, but even if I could remember everything I think you would all be disgusted with me so I won't. I am quite disgusted at myself frankly. Anyway. Weigh in is tomorrow due to Jayne's holiday so I have one day's reprieve. I may spend the whole night on wii fit rhythm boxing in some attempt to salvage myself.

One thing is for sure though ... I MUST GET ON THE SCALES TOMORROW. If I don't my binge will only carry on for another week and my bulge will grow further. I have no excuse now as my next assignment is three weeks away and it's only a tiny one in comparison (not like the 10,000 word beast I have submitted this afternoon). I really hope Vix will join us too! We're all in the same boat this week and we shall go down with the ship if necessary!

DIET STARTS TOMORROW

Since Tuesday I can officially say I have NOT been dieting. I have already listed what I ate on my birthday but I didn't really behaved myself since.

Friday was Tony's birthday and we went on holiday. I had toast for breakfast and a ham sarnie for lunch along with a few mini scotch eggs and cocktail sausages. When we arrived at the campsite we unpacked and then had a walk around. We found a lovely restaurant on the site which had a balcony over looking the sea...Perfect. Se we decided to have our tea there. I had lasagne which came with chips and garlic bread. I finished off the lot. When we got back to the caravan and even though we were all VERY full, we still managed to eat some birthday cake lol.

Saturday I had cereal and toast for breakfast, a jacket spud with coleslaw and cheese for lunch followed by an ice cream and for tea we had a BBQ so I had 2 burgers (in buns) and 2 sausages with tomato sauce and salad.

Sunday I had a banana and some toast for breakfast and for lunch ham sarnies. Later I had a jam croissant and some prepacked fruit. For tea I had bacon and sausage on toast followed by 4 fig rolls.

Today I had cereal and a croissant for breakfast. Ham sarnie for lunch followed by 4 caramel biscuits and some chocolate limes on the journey home...Guess what I'm having for tea...a bloomin Indian. I have been promising Tony for months that we would have one so I guess...in a way it is a good idea to have it now so that I can get back to dieting and maintaining.

When i got home and got on the scales I am horrified but not surprised to see I have gained 3lb. And that in only 1 week. Proves how fast it creeps back on eh.

DIET STARTS TOMORROW. Need to get back to 10stone 5lb as quickly as possible. Weigh in this week for myself and the girls is going to be tomorrow.

I'm in Trouble....fell off the wagon

Well the title says it all, i've fell off big time and have no intetion of getting back on it...I HATE DIETING!!!

Aaaarrrrrgh awful weekend.

I haven't set foot on the wii fit since the 5lb gain debacle of thursday evening. In fact I haven't really set foot anywhere. I have spent the whole weekend sitting on my bum on the sofa writing untold amounts of drivel for my MA assignment and eating more junk food than I think I have ever before. Not looking good for monday's weigh in. I am going to try and do some kind of exercise tomorrow night (aerobics? or spin?) before Jayne gets back from her hols and forces me onto the scales on tuesday.

Craaaaaaaaaaaaap!!!

Minor Crisis

Yoga started again last night ... I was very glad of getting some chillax time to look after the Inner Gemma, connect with my chakra's and generally give myself a bit of a stretch. The class is now half an hour earlier than it used to be. That doesn't sound like a lot, and it isn't but it does mean getting home from work, eating something and getting changed is a bit of a rush. Instead of trying to squeeze a proper meal into the 40 minutes I had at home I had a proper meal at work (quiche and salad) and grabbed a banana, grapes and strawberries for tea as you don't want to be contortioning yourself into weird and wonderful poses on a full stomach. I came home, I felt very zen and calm and tall and light so I decided to do my daily body test on the wii fit ... oh ... my ... god. Perhaps I was very grounded, perhaps my muscles we full of some heavy kind of chi energy, or perhaps the quiche was a terrible terrible idea. The wii fit seems to think I have put on 5lbs in one day. I'm not kidding. That cannot be possible surely? It was later than usual (9pm-ish) but still ... five freakin pounds?!

My fingers, legs, arms, eyes, whatever, are very firmly crossed that it was just some horrible mistake and when I body test after work today those 5lbs will have melted away.

Absolutely horrified.

It's my birthday and I'll eat if i want to!!

Yes Folks. I am celebrating my 29th birthday today. Had nice presents but mainly money as I need new clothes and we are going away on Friday. I am sooo looking forward to a break.

Today the lads from work took me for a pub lunch and I had chicken pasta alfredo which came with garlic bread. It was very nice indeed. Jase then bought me a snickers for pudding as it is something I have been wanting since I started the diet all thoses 22 weeks ago. I really enjoyed it.

I don't think I will be having an indian tonight now. Don't think i'll manage it to be honest. May save it till next Monday when we get back from Devon as we won't want to cook, so will prob end up having a take away anyway.

I am so full that I won't be going to the gym today as planned. I have cancelled it and booked tomorrow and thursday instead. I will try and do some sit-ups tonight though.

Nice one Vix for getting a cross trainer. You go girl :)

Jayne x

Skinny Thighs here i come!

Just brought myself a cross trainer, so i shall be pounding my way on that every night now!! Know that i can do it, as done it before....so cheaper than me joining a gym and can do when madams gone to bed.

Whhhoooohhhoooo

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Happy Birthday to our resident wonderful slimmer......Jayne xxxx

Good Results all round

Well as the post suggests, we all had a good week...perhaps we're all good luck charms for each other?!?!

I lost 3lbs, which is great, but if i'd behaved myself from Friday when my sneaky weigh in was showing a loss of 3 and half lbs, i may of lost a bit more.

My goal next week is to loose 4lb!! Which would take me to the 7lb mark, not too sure if this is a little too adventureous or not, but i'm gonna try my damned hardest. And we have an extra day to behave as Saint Jayne is on her jollies.

Going to try and do my exercise dvd most nights and deffo behave myself this weekend, no alcohol shall pass my lips.

I had my treat last night, pizza and a bag of chocolate raisens (yummy yummy in my tummy), although i did feel awfully sick and very guilty after i'd scoffed that lot!

Scale Obsession

As Gemma said. We have all done well. Only hours before weigh in we were all hating the fact we had to get on the scales, and scared at the fact of hating what we saw. But as it happens we are all pleased. I lost 1lb which takes me to 10 stone 4 and 3/4lbs so still very much on track of maintaining.

Spinning was so hardcore on Sunday. So I think that must have helped. I had not been overly naughty but had not eaten very healthy for the last few days. Now I would like to say that I will be good this week. However it is my birthday (16th) and the lads are taking me out for a pub lunch. Tony want's an indian takeaway and we are going on holiday Friday - Monday. None of these are a great for dieting, but I am going to enjoy myself. I will be good Wednesday and Thursday and have booked myself in the gym tomorrow (even though its my birthday) and thursday in hope i can burn away some of the calories I have, or are yet to munch.

I do feel I have a scale obsession. I get on them far to often. It's becoming the norm to stand on them at least twice a day. I can't see myself going through a day with out standing on them...Do I need to go to rehab lol.

Getting On with the Challenge

Well, well, well. Today's weigh in was good for me ... for all of us in fact, but I'll let the other girls tell their own stories. I managed to lose 2lb this week! That puts me well on the way to the 7lb in 7 weeks challenge set for me by Jayne the slave driver ;)

I have guessed that my success is down to one of two things :

  1. Vix is my good luck charm ... having her on board is helping me stay on track ... OR
  2. Spinning is really ace and can burn off a chinese takeaway and a bottle of wine no bother
Either way it was a good result tonight. Very pleased. I'm celebrating with chips! Shhhhhh...

Gem x

Gem's Challenge

Yes Gem, that's a brill challenge, you can do it girlie xx

Can't remember what i put for mine?!?!? Was it a stone by 28 November?!?! eeekk

x

Up for the challenge Gemma?

I feel that one of the things that helped me was to have a goal AND a date to work to. The one thing Gemma is working towards is Sam and Greg's wedding as she is a bridesmaid…thing is, that’s over a year away so I have given her a challenge...one which is nearer.

To lose 7lb in 7 weeks (3rd November).

It is doable but will be tricky. She goes on the wii fit a lot and goes spinning so keeping up this exercise regime and behaving a little bit more of a weekend ;p she can do this.

Friday Night JD Binge and W-end

FRI
Friday was a good day, went for a sneaky weigh in at Jayne's and found i'd lost 3 and half pounds, brill!! Then me and Andy went to the Rock for tea, behaved myself and had a steak, but that was washed down with 2 LARGE glasses of vino....we then got home and kicked the ass outa a bottle of JD!! Whoops.

SAT
Had rotten hangover from the excesses of last night, and managed to behave myself most of the day, even though i was craving a large amount of anything greasy or chocolatey. Had porridge for brekkie, a freddo (whoops) for lunch and then a pork chop with stirfry for tea.

SUN
Porridge again, then chicken and mushroom salad and a slice of bread for lunch, then cooked a scrummy roast dinner for tea and only managed to have one roastie. But made the big mistake of buying Liv some chocolate raisans, she scoffed most of them, then the packet kinda fell into my hands i managed to wolf the rest of them down without even thinking...PORKER!!

So tonight is the first official weigh in, i'm really doubting that i've kept that 3 and half off, but we live in hope eh. Gonna do a manic hoover when i get home at lunchtime and walk the pooch and if the weather is dry tonight will cycle over to Jaynes with Liv in the seat at the back.....in pathetic attempt to burn some calories.

Rude Awakening

Tell me ... who's idea was it to go spinning at 10.30 on a Sunday morning? Actually, it may have had something to do with me but forget about that and pretend it was all Jayne's idea lol. This mornings spin class was a bit of a killer. Apart from being still half asleep when it started (I only got out of bed at 9.45) it was a much tougher class than the one we did on Monday. Much, much tougher ... although more the kind of class I have done in the past with more changes in speed, pressing on the arms and hanging left, right, forwards and backwards off the saddle. Much more interesting and more of a challenge. I do like spinning and my god, it does feel like such an accomplishment once you have finished it in a good but slightly masochistic way.

Yesterday my eating wasn't as good as it could have been. I spent forever shopping with my mom ... I had birthday money to spend and I have treated myself to lots of new goodies. A few new tops, a new suit for work (high waisted skirt and 3/4 sleeve jacket which looks ace), some new shoes, a purse, a couple of belts, a nice underwear set and ... wait for it ... a pair of skinny jeans. Now, I always though skinny jeans were invented as some kind of torture for anyone over a size 8 but actually this particular pair look really quite nice on me so i'm thrilled about that.Oh y es. We walked quite some miles around the shops yesterday but I did eat lunch in the pub ... I had 5 bean chilli and rice which was supposedly less than 5% fat. But then I had a chinese for tea so I did consume a few more calories than I should have. I hope the spinning will have taken care of that. And also of Friday nights ice cream.

Anyway ... I have an assignment to write so I can't procrastinate here all day. We're going to my parents house for tea as well so I must get a good couple of hours writing in before then as once I have a glass of wine I will have no chance of doing anything this evening. Going to do some work now. Honest.

Last few days

Thursday evening was a strange one food wise. Tony is on afternoons so sometimes I can't be bothered to cook anything and become a little lazy. I always wait to have my tea once Finley is in bed (believe me, its easier that way lol) The thing is I was really peckish so had some ww biscuits. I then gave Fin a slice of toast as he had not had much tea at nursery. It looked very tempting so had 2 slices myself. I then had a few dried prunes and later on that evening I had a curly wurly. So as you can see I had lots of junk for my tea that evening. I doubt I went over my points...but that’s not the point. It wasn't at all very healthy. Shame really as I had had a very healthy week apart from that.

Friday I had grapes for breakfast and then I went in to a meeting for a few hours. As soon as I sat down I ate my special k cereal bar. I was very hungry lol. For lunch I had a shapers boots sarnie and some shapers crisps. I then went to the gym and did my new programme which I found challenging but managed to get through it. Looking on the machine I had burnt off what I had eaten for lunch so it was worth upping the levels. For tea I had a packet of rainbow drops at the cinema. Again not a healthy option lol. When I got home I had a banana.

Saturday...oooh no here it comes. I had a banana for breakfast then rushed to the docs. Got back had 2 jaffa cakes and darted to the vets. Then drove over to my dads and had a nice walk around penkridge market where I was looking for a rain coat. I tried a few on but were all way to big so had a look in the kids section and tried on an a age 13 paka-mac just for a laugh, but it actually fitted me lol. So I decided to purchase that as its ideal to put in the basket on the pushchair for nasty rain showers. Anyway, back to what I ate. My dad took us to a very tasty sandwich shop and I had a ham salad baguette. Mmmmmy god it was tasty. And for tea I have had a chinese. Chow mein, some rice and a few prawn crackers. The strange thing is that I didn't really enjoy it. I felt greasy and fat after eating it and now feel it was a waste of adding those extra calories. Booo.

Tomorrow is another busy day. I am going spinning at 10:30 with Gem and then going in to town as have quite a few things to get for our holiday next week and also need to buy Finley some new clothes. I am aiming to eat less and more healthy.

Slimming Watchers and Spinning

To celebrate our birthdays (mine was last week, Jayne's is next week) Jayne and I are going to the cinema this evening. We stopped buying presents in favour of going out somewhere instead. We're going to see "The Women" which looks like it's going to be a gloriously girlie chick flick so I can't wait. In a half-attempt to be good (both in diet and financial terms) I'm going to take a bag of snack-a-jacks popcorn and a bottle of diet pop with me (the only diet drinks the cinema do is coke and I'm fancying something fuity). I do however, fully intend to indulge in a little tub of ice cream. I think (hope) the cinema has a Ben & Jerry's stand and as it's my birthday (kinda) I feel I'm allowed.

As for the rest of the week, I have been pretty well behaved. Not quite weight watchers, not quite slimming world. I guess it must be Slimming Watchers. I've been doing weetabix or wholemeal toast for breakfast and fruit with yoghurt for lunch and then a pretty normal healthy dinner. Homemade spaghetti bolognaise one night, Chicken stirfry with rice yesterday, salmon and jacket potato another day. I've had the odd treat too ... a couple of glasses of wine, a mini kinder chocolate bar thing and a few fruitellas. For excersise I did spinning on Monday and Wii Ft for 40 minutes on Wednesday and I'll be doing some again after work tonight (wii fit is addictive.) and we're spinning again on Sunday morning. I would have liked to have done more but I have a b**ch of an assignment to do for uni at the moment and it's taking it's toll.

That's all I have to say really ... Oh, except Jayne is going to make me get weighed before we go to the pictures later. She's such a slave driver! Lol.

Extra curriculum activities

I am really getting back in to my exercise now which is good. Went spinning on Monday and I went to the gym yesterday. I have upped my exercise routine and this will start on Friday.

Since having a key to the machines at the gym it has really helped me stick to a routine. I have to do what the key says. Basically I put the key in to each machine and it automatically starts and goes up and down the levels that the fitness instructor has set.

At the end of each session you have to then put your key in to a special computer and it tells you your calories, distance etc for that session and in total. So there is no getting away with it. If I don't get time to do a certain machine then the key knows. It shows a graph which tells you what you have and haven't done each week. Clever eh.

I will again be going to spinning. 500 calories burnt in 45 mins. Sorted. I am going to start going of a weekend. But this time I am going next Monday as Vix wants to have a go so I said I'd go with her for her first time. I'm sure you'll enjoy it chick :)

Now all I need to do is start doing sit-ups every evening before bed again. I know I’m at goal but I just want to get more toned and fit…(and maybe loose a few more lbs)

All This Water!

OMG, i cannot stop weeing...have been making a consious effort of drinking more water. Am so rubbish at drinking water, normally only have 1 glass a day at work!! So yesterday i drank 5 and might as well of moved my PC into the loo, spent most of the day weeing...lets hope this has an effect on the weight loss.

On a plus side, i'm feeling much better (how can this be possible of only been behaving for a day!!) Lets hope this feeling is gonna last.

Am potty training Liv Thurs/Fri, so we shall be stopping in all day, so i shall have to be sitting on my hands to stop myself from scoffing!

Excuses, excuses, excuses.

Well, let me just start by saying ... I am very happy to have Vix on board the slimming train. Jayne is at goal now, and even though she has the tough job of maintaining, I do feel a teensy bit happier to have a buddy with a mountain still to climb like me :)

Well, yesterdays weigh in was not fantastic. Jayne's scales put me at a 2lb gain. I have excuses for this ... they are :
  1. It was my birthday weekend - anyone who doesn't gain on their birthday obviously didn't have enough fun in my opinion
  2. Weigh in was a whole hour later than normal and I had already had my tea (and I normally don't have it till after)
  3. I didn't have a poo ... which apparently helps LOL
I knew I would have gained because on Sunday the wii fit showed I had put on a lb. Today however, it says I have lost 2lb since then so spinning obviously does the trick! I loved it actually, but I do have a bruised bum today.

Gem x

PS ... we need a new picture for the blog now with Vix in it too!

Well everyone here I am!!

My starting weight is now 13st 7lb!! Shock horror, how revolting!! Lost 7lbs a few months ago going to ww mtgs, but that has crept back on as I was so rubbish at keeping it off.

Those of you who know me, am a serial scoffer!! But that's gotta change....(she sighs!)

I'm aiming to loose 1 stone by the 28th November, that's mine and Andy's anniversary, so gotta get my act together as 11 weigh in's to go.

I shall also be trying to go to the spinning classes, but more than likley gonna be a Monday for me. Also looking at getting a cross trainer for home....hopefully use it and get a bit more flab off me bones!!

Vix xx

21 week weigh in

It's not as bad as expected at last nights weigh in. I have gained 3/4 of a lb which takes me to 10st 5 3/4lb. Thought it was going to be much worse. However after weigh in (not sure I should write this on the blog, but i will anyway lol) I went to the loo. I then wondered if it made any change to the scales and it did lol. I then weighed 10st 5 1/4lbs hahaha but I am going to stick with the 3/4 of a lb gain as that was the official time.

Myself and Gemma went spinning last night. I really enjoyed it. I did push myself but not all the way through the class. I got a sweat on that’s for sure. The only thing I can say that I didn't enjoy was the saddle. I found it uncomfortable so that’s something I need to get used to and after a few weeks I’m sure I will. I am a little sore around that area today hehe. I'm thinking of doing the class of a weekend. I think I may go this Sunday infact.

I want to loose the 3/4lb by next Monday.

A BIG hello and welcome

Our good friend Vix has decided to jump on the slimming wagon. I'm sure she will let us all know what her goal is and keep us updated with how the diet is going for her. Like me, Vix has done weight watchers before so I know she will do good.

Vix came round to my house last night for her 1st weigh in.

COME ON whoop whoop

3 day munches

Ooooooh dear. After such a good week by friday evening it all went wrong. Very wrong hehe. We went round to Chris and Pete's and they put on an excellent spread. Burgers, sausage, chicken, steak, fried onions, cheesy pasta and wedges. I did indulge quite heavily it must be said. THEN they brought out a homemade trifle...so I indulged again. It was so yummy. I was so bloated and full as I have not been used to doing that for a while now.

Saturday I thought I was going to be good however I had my car serviced of the morning and went to my dads while this was being done. He made me bacon on a crusty cob. Very nice, but he fried it with oil..not how I normally do my bacon!!! Yikes. Then I got home and Asda had delivered the shopping so I ate biscuits for lunch!!?!! I had a packet of crisps and a banana later in the day. For tea I had a chickpea and spinach saucy thang from a jar with rice and a curly wurly.

Sunday I again pigged out on crap.

I am so rubbish LOL. I weighed me this morning and I was 10st 5 and a 1/2. So I have defiantly put on. It's a little depressing how easily I can put on weight and I know I will have to diet FOR EVER. Boohoohooo. Hopefully spinning will get rid of my binge weekend and get me back on track.

Shall let you know how weigh in goes and if I managed to get through the spinning class.

Birthday Weekend

Well, it's Sunday. It was my (29th) birthday on Friday and I certainly didn't do slimming world that day hahaha. Hubby and I went out with my parents, my brother and his girlfriend for an italian meal ... which was absolutely ruddy yummy. I had a spicy chorizo pasta for starter and filletto gorgonzola (fillet steak with gorgonzola cheese and white wine sauce) for my main course. I swear it was the best steak I have ever eaten ... huge but very lean and cooked to medium rare perfection. I succumbed to the homemade tiramisu and had quite a lot of wine and a couple of gin and oranges at my parents house later on. I also indulged in some really yummy Gorden Ramsey chocolates that I was given as a present. It was my birthday. I think I was allowed. Then yesterday we had people round for pizza takeaway ... there was also wine again. And a pecan cupcake.

Today I am going to be much better behaved. I have already done half and hour of aerobic exercise on the wii fit before breakfast. In fact I have been on the wii fit EVERY day this week. You would think half an hour minimum of exercise every day would have done something to my graph but according to the record on the wii I am actually 1lb heavier today than I was last monday. Ah crap.

I'm going to have my weetabix now, then shower and go to the supermarket for fruit salad ingredients for next weeks lunches .. then I have to make an effort to get somewhere with the end of course assessment essay for my current MA module. My final MA module started yesterday so I have a three week overlap between the start of one and the end of the other. I'm going to be v. busy which as we all know isn't ideal for dieting but I am going to do as best as I can and keep up with the wii fit and try and get out to some classes where possible. As Jayne mentioned we are going to spinning class on Monday night (group cycling to music) I haven't done spinning for 12 months or so but I remember it as being hard but fun and really gets the adrenaline going. And of course when you are in a group class there is a slight element of competition ... personally I don't want to be the only one stopping for a breather therefore I work far harder than I would if I was minding my own business on a bike in the gym.

Anyway ... weetabix, shower, supermarket, essay ... things to do. Busy busy busy.

My week so far

I have been quite good this week. I got to my goal on Monday and still only had a ww lasagne and 2 potato waffles for my tea. I celebrated with a curly wurly hehe.

When I got to work the next morning and told the lads I got a high5 and we all decided to celebrate with a subway. Sub of the day was Meatball...so I went for it. Was sooo yummy. I had a salad for my tea and another curly wurly.

Wednesday I went to the gym. Felt good to be back (in a strange way) I again had a ham salad for lunch and decided on another for tea. This time with a chicken breast. I then had a curly wurly lol.

Thursday I had salad for lunch and spag bol for tea. My mom made it so I'm not sure of the calories, but I enjoyed it very much...guess what i had for afters....haha got ya. I had an apple.

Today I am again going to the gym. I have a salad for lunch and we are going round to see louise, lee, chris and pete tonight and pete is cooking. Not sure what yet, but I guess it will be very tasty.

I still havent had a snickers which is something I have been wanting over the last 20 weeks. I think I am going to buy one on Monday and eat it after my tea if I have maintained. So as you can see I have still been good. Been eating salads, yogurts, fruit and healthy goodness.

Oh yeah. Gemma and I are going spinning on monday. I have never done that before so I am looking forward to it.

Jayne :)

Celebrations

Firstly, may I just add ... OH MY GOD! CONGRATULATIONS JAYNE! I told you she was a saint, and as proof she has hit her goal weight after 20 weeks of super human hard work and commitment. I am very, very proud of her ... and also a teesny bit jealous hahaha.

On the other hand my weigh in was less successful ... I didn't have a proper weigh in last week so I can't say exactly how much I have gained but I was 11st 3lb on the scales yesterday. Horrendous. So that little mini goal of being under 11st by my birthday on Friday has gone by the wayside, however I need to remember that even though the scales aren't changing I am slimmer. I must be to have fastened that pair of jeans.

What we need is a plan of action ... well, me ... I do. Here it is.
  1. Continue to go on the wii fit every day. The wii fit is marvellous and believe it or not it does make you sweat. I hold wii fit yoga solely responsible for getting in those jeans!
  2. Start writing down what I eat again. Even though I think I am not over eating I really must be.
  3. Birthday or no birthday I want to have a loss next week.

Hit my goal baby..YEAH

Well I thought I had done pretty badly on the dieting front this week. I wasn't really going over my point allowance, but I was eating more rubbish than usual. I really wasn't looking forward to weigh in. But behold...I lost 2lb which takes me to 10st 5lb. Which is in fact MY GOAL weight. Woowoo.

Thats 1st 8lb in 20 weeks.

I now need to go back to healthy eating and doing lots more exercise. The gym is now open full time again so I will be able to go after work.

As you can imagine I am over the moon. I now fit very comfortably in a size 12. Only problem being I need to buy new clothes. Which is of course brilliant news because I can go back to loving to shop. Last Sunday was the first time in aaaaaaaaages that I went shopping and didn't feel fat being in the shops and felt I could actually try things on without feeling disappointed with how I looked. Feels good.

Maintain, maintain, maintain :)

Mini Milestone

It's weigh in day ... the day me and Jayne secretly hate but keep on doing anyway. The Monday weigh in does help keep me (almost) on the straight and narrow so I know I have to keep going even though it's horrid.

I have no idea what the scales will say today. It's been a mixed week really. My eating could have been much better. Pizza on Friday at H's and I had more than two vodkas I can tell you. A party on Saturday night with a hog roast and three glasses of wine and yesterday out for Sunday lunch (and more wine). Not great. That said I have been on my wii fit every day since it arrived so I think I have burned fair few calories and according to the smug little character on there that does your weigh in and body test (BMI, Balance, etc) I have lost three lbs since Friday. Although before the girls night on Friday I was a few lbs heavier than I had been.

Regardless of what the scales say I am starting to notice something happening ... I'm toning up I think. In fact, yesterday I managed to fit into a long abandoned pair of size 10 (!) jeans. True story. I'm pretty impressed with that.
