Feeling Energised

Well, I managed to make it round to Jayne to check up on my weight and have a guess what the scales said? That's right! How did you guess? 11st 2 and 1/4 lbs ... again ... for like, the fifth or sixth week in a row! LOL. I suppose I should be grateful to not have had a gain after my horrendous binge over the weekend really.

I feel quite energised by my switch to weight watchers though. It's like a fresh start and I feel that I am approaching things with renewed vigour! I had a lovely tea last night of jacket potato with chicken breast that I butterflied (that's chef talk for cut in half almost all the way through and folded out to make it thinner) seasoned with salt, pepper, a pinch of mixed herbs and crushed garlic and put it in a hot griddle pan for a few minutes each side so it was cooked through and had char-grill marks. It was ruddy lovely chicken, I tell you and would be lovely cold for lunch with a salad or in a pitta bread. I shall definitely make extras next time. I also had a couple of pieces of scampi for 2 extra points ... hubby calls the chicken and seafood combination "Surf and Chirp" LOL.

The energised feeling has also spread to other areas of life and Jayne and I have a full few days planned before weigh in. On Thursday we have Hulagise, on Saturday evening we are meeting up for noodles, and on Sunday we plan to go for a walk up the Wrekin (as long as it isn't raining ... we aren't that committed)!

Huge weight losses expected for next week. FACT.

Gem x

Quite jealous of your little slimming world holiday - no idea about weight watchers myself so going to have to keep plodding along and gaining weight - it seems. Think more exercise has to be my goal and very inspired by your efforts. Hope you both have a great week!
