A Weekend with Take That!

Before weigh in later this evening I just wanted to make a post which says I know I will not have lost this week. In fact, I am almost certain of a gain on the scales. This weekend was the Take That concert in Wembley and me and my mom went down on the train early on Saturday morning, stayed overnight B&B and came back late Sunday afternoon. You know what that means? I did a fair bit of eating out and that will take it's toll on the scales.

What I would like to point out however, is that even though I was away from almost any kind of healthy option I made good choices and was prepared for it. For example, rather than getting a coffee and a muffin from the shop on the train I made up a foil parcel of marmite toast from nimble bread to take with me. Also rather than eat whatever was on offer at the stadium Mom and I had a Nando's before we went inside ... we both had Chicken in Pitta with a Side Salad and a fat free frozen yoghurt for pud. It was less points than anything on offer inside Wembley (which seemed to mostly be greasy looking nachos and ugly looking hot dogs with wierdness on top of them). Jayne also took her own cob, and I think she was glad of it when she saw the cardboard cartons of overpriced filth going past us! We took snacks into the stadium too of apples and cherries. We earned activity points by dancing ... A LOT.

The next morning at the buffet breakfast we chose wholemeal toast, cooked tomatoes, veggie sausage and scrambled egg (not bacon, not sausage and absolutely NOT fried bread OR croissants) which filled us up till mid afternoon. Then we had a tomato-ey pasta thing for a late lunch which was nice and so filling that we didn't eat again for the rest of the day. In fact, I think we were both to tired to eat! We walked our little socks off during the day getting the tube to Covent Garden, wandering around the shops, walking to Trafalgar Square and through St James's Park then the entire length of Oxford Street (which is very, very long) and back again.

Hopefully not too much damage will have been done, but I do feel like a bloater so I am not holding my breath or keeping whatever crossed for a loss. Lets see what the scales say tonight.

Gem x

PS. Do swollen knees make you weigh more? I gave my knee a right bashing on the chair in front of me at Take That and its huge and purple!
