What, what, whaaat?!

I am gobsmacked this week. Absolutely gobsmacked. The scales said that I have lost 2lb since last week. That can't be right surely? Although my Wii Fit seemed to agree with the weight watchers scales too. They say that I am 10st 10 and 1/2 lbs ... it also means I have lost 5% of my body weight since going back to meetings. I've got 7 and 1/2 more lbs to go till I get to 10st 3lbs, which is my 10%, my BMI of 22 and my goal weight.

I had a bit of an off week. I was starving hungry all week for some reason and I have felt a bit sniffly so I skipped aerobics and barely did five minutes on the Wii. I had an urge for peanut butter on toast on friday evening, which I indulged. Then on saturday night baked camembert happened. Perhaps my metabolism has started working a bit faster or something but I got the loss so I'm not going to question it. I'm just going to be extra well behaved this week to make sure it doesn't sneak up on me and bite me on the arse next week. I MUST make the effort to go to aerobics this week too. I am sure that is what is helping kick start my metabolism and shift these lbs.

Looser Here

Hey Girlies

Doing a post for a change, got 5 mins to myself.

Am very chuffed at my 2lb loss this week, my goal is getting more in sight and gotta behave myself.

Haven't had the best week or the best few weeks to be honest with my gob trouble....hopefully sorted on Thursday, otherwise i may be tempted to have all my nashers pulled out and be done with it.

Must concentrate more on the wii this week as it;s slipped the past week.

Also, been very naughty today and so far eaten 4 peices of french stick (and butter!!) and a chocolate cake....feel so full that my stomach feels like it's gunna burst...big fat bloater

Good week planned for us 3 me thinks xxx

Healthy eating really does make you feel good.

You could say that I have not been folowing the ww diet for the last 2 weeks. And, well...you'd be right, i havent. I have still been doing exercise, but not been counting points and have deffinatly eaten way too many biscuits.

This week I have gained a tiny 1/4 of a lb. Which is quite a miricle after what I ate to be fair. So hoping it won't catch up with me next week. I now weigh 10 stone 1lb.

I am going to the gym today and wednesday. The gym is closed on Thurs and Fri this week, but I am allowed to go in if I take a buddy..shall see if anyone fancies it.

I must say though, not following the diet and not eating so healthy has made me feel a little un well. Aches and pains, head aches have been a killer and I have also felt more...well, just felt a bit crap really. So it does prove what a differance it makes to eat well and what a change I have made to my body by doing so.

Went out for Stace's birthday meal last night. I love catching up with the girls. Lots of fun. I had a chicken and bacon melt salad. Was bloody lovely I tell ya. mmmm. I am unsure of yesterday's points. I know I'd had 8 points duing the day so I had 10 remaining for my meal. So if I did go over then I don't think it was by much. Back in to eating healthy now. I have had a cereal bar and an apple for breakfast. Got a plum for my 11:00 break and I have special K for lunch along with a yogurt. I know I will get hungry before I go home so I will go and grap a banana at lunch time for my afternoon break. That will be 7 points. Then I am having chicken breast and cous cous for tea. Scrummy.

Well done to Vix. She has lost 2lb this week. Taking her loss to a brill 10lb so far. Whoop.

Silver Seven Revoked!

Ok, so my weight watchers leader didn't actually revoke my silver seven ... but I did have a teensy weensy gain of 1lb this week which I absolutely deserved and actually then some. That puts me back at 10st 12 and 1/2 lbs. It could have been far, far worse and at least I didn't go back into the 11 stone bracket.

I did over indulge, I know that I did but it was our friends wedding on Saturday so you just can't say no to canapes, pimms and full sugar lemonade, champagne, a beautiful three course meal with a trio of puddings and more wine than anyone should drink, ever. It is also impossible to count points on a hangover. Fact. I needed some good stodge to get me through Sunday and to be honest I was still suffering on Monday which is just disgraceful. So, on Monday I also had a few little extras, such as toast with my cereal, a capri sun juice drink with my lunch and (at a friends birthday meal on Monday evening) a burger with chips.

However, it wasn't your regular burger ... it was a bison burger! Bison, apparently, has less calories and fat than chicken or turkey but it tastes like beef. Well, it kind of tasted like a mixture of beef and pork to me ... bork lol. It was very tasty anyway and I enjoyed it. I'd eat it again for sure, even though they did forget to put cheese on my burger, but I'll let them off as I shouldn't have asked for cheese anyway!

So, today I am fully recovered from my excesses and back on the weight watching wagon. healthy diet and exercise are the name of the game and I think i'm off the booze for a bit too which will definitely help me shift this extra lb I seem to have acquired.

A wicked weekend = a little gain.

But i'm not too bothered about it to be fair. I gained 3/4 of a lb. However I did have a fun weekend so I canny complain. Saturday was finchfest day. A fabulous party which included a lot of drink, food, but also dancing. Sunday I took Fin to the City show and we had a picnic and an icecream. Yummy. Monday and tuesday also didn't go well as I pigged out both days. Tut.

Anyway. Got back in to it yesterday (wednesday). Had only 14 points the whole day and also did 50 minutes of my exercise DVD. I will be good for the rest of the week now. Wanna loose that 3/4lb. I am going to the gym in a minute and shall be going on a long walk tomorrow after work. I have a busy weekend, however I will try my HARDEST to fit in the exercise DVD at least once.

Well done to my two loser friends. Vix lost 3lb this week - whoop whoop.

Weight Watchers - How NOT to do it!

While looking around for inspiration from other real life weight watching stories on Google's blog search I came across the rather interesting Anti Weight Watchers blog ... quite amusing really, and a very definite example of how not to do it.

My favourite article so far was "Swine Flu? Pah! Simply another excuse to eat chocolate, I say!"

Hilarious ... do not try this at home!

Saintly Slimmers Silver Seven

Woohoo!!! Last night I got my first silver seven since returning to weight watchers meetings in June. I lost 1 and 1/2 lbs which takes me to 10st 11 and 1/2 lbs and only another 1 and 1/2 lbs to go till I have lost 5% of my body weight! That shall be my goal for next week (although I do have a wedding to go to on saturday so it is possible that I will over indulge ... but my dress fits fabulously)! I am edging closer and closer to my goal, yes indeedy do.

I don't particularly feel like I deserved so much of a loss this week. After all, I started the week with a pizza after weigh in and although I clawed back the points through saving some each day and exercising like a good un my willpower was almost zero by saturday evening. On Saturday I worked particularly hard and resisted bacon and egg sandwhiches on thick white bread at breakfast time (I had nimble toast, 1 rasher with the fat removed and a poached egg) ... at lunch time I refused a McDonalds, even when Hubby ate his burger and fries right there in front of me I didn't even pinch one chip (instead I had a banana some grapes and a bag of weight wacthers hoops) ... so at 8pm when I was reeeeally hungry and Hubby didn't fancy any of my meal ideas and we were invited out for an Indian I am afraid I caved in. I ate a vegetable balti with stuffed paratha and two glasses of wine. I steered clear of the fried rice, the poppadoms, and all those deep fried starters and it seems I got away with it this time. In my defence I did do a whole heap of exercise this week including an hour and a half walk with Jaynie on Friday night after work which was very lovely and plenty of boxing on the wii fit plus some heavy duty mowing and weeding on Sunday.

I am not about to get complacent though ... I am convinced that my curry lbs had not had chance to stick! I had only a teensy weensy treat after weigh in (a glass of wine and half a Fry's chocolate creme) and I am fully back on track today so will have got back the additional two points that I ate by bedtime. I also need to do some hardcore point saving ready for the Wedding! It would be nice to lose again next week though, I really like the feeling :)

Exercise Epiphany

Something strange happened to me yesterday. I had made plans to go to a class with my aerobics buddy Sam (the bride-to-be) and I have to say that I have never wanted to go to aerobics less than I did last night. I reeeeally didn't want to go. I huffed and I puffed and I sulked but there was no excuse I could make to get me out of it. That isn't the strange thing though. What was strange was that once I actually started to move around a bit I found I was enjoying myself. Like, really going for it! I felt healthier than I have in ages and I was able to do the higher impact moves instead of the lower ones and I didn't need to keep stopping every five minutes for a "water" break. Now, I haven't lost that much weight ... just shy of 5% of my total body weight but I reeeeeally noticed the difference. I could actually tell that there was less wobble on my body LOL. It was quite surreal really. Just the experience I needed to really get me motivated to exercise more I think. I always feel better about myself once I've done some exercise after last night I think my hard work is really starting to pay off.

Back for good

I have got to goal this week. I lost 3/4lb which means I again weigh 10 stone. Yay. This time I am not taking advantage of this as I know how quickly I gain. So sticking to my fitness routine of going to the gym twice a week with added extra's of walking or exercise DVD. I am going to stick with my normal points (18) during the week giving me more flexability of a weekend. I think this will mean I will maintain a lot easier.

I really didn't know how this weeks weigh in was going to go as I had not counted any points since Friday. I agree with Gem and think it must be down to all the jumping, screaming and dancing we did at the Take That concert hehe.

Really pleased with my results and enjoy feeling a lot better about myself.

The Take That Diet

Well, I have to say my weekend at Wembley on the Take That diet seems to have done the trick. Whether it was the several hundred shopping miles that were covered on Sunday or all the bouncing around and screaming done on Saturday I couldn't say, but somehow I weighed 10st 13lbs at last nights meeting losing another 1lb this week. That's right! I'm only bloody into the tens for the first time in around four years! WOOHOO! That's a total loss of 10lbs since the new year and 5 and a 1/2 lbs since joining weight watchers again. Nearly at that elusive silver seven and not far off my 5% body weight goal either.

I had a pizza to celebrate ... the less said about that the better LOL.

So, the plan for this week is to save as many points as possible between now and the weekend. For a start I need to make up the 7 extra points I consumed yesterday with my post weigh in celebration meal. I also need to make sure I put in the effort and do a bit more exercise as it was too hot to even contemplate rhythm boxing during last week's heatwave.

Stay on the wagon, stay focused and stay in the tens.

A Weekend with Take That!

Before weigh in later this evening I just wanted to make a post which says I know I will not have lost this week. In fact, I am almost certain of a gain on the scales. This weekend was the Take That concert in Wembley and me and my mom went down on the train early on Saturday morning, stayed overnight B&B and came back late Sunday afternoon. You know what that means? I did a fair bit of eating out and that will take it's toll on the scales.

What I would like to point out however, is that even though I was away from almost any kind of healthy option I made good choices and was prepared for it. For example, rather than getting a coffee and a muffin from the shop on the train I made up a foil parcel of marmite toast from nimble bread to take with me. Also rather than eat whatever was on offer at the stadium Mom and I had a Nando's before we went inside ... we both had Chicken in Pitta with a Side Salad and a fat free frozen yoghurt for pud. It was less points than anything on offer inside Wembley (which seemed to mostly be greasy looking nachos and ugly looking hot dogs with wierdness on top of them). Jayne also took her own cob, and I think she was glad of it when she saw the cardboard cartons of overpriced filth going past us! We took snacks into the stadium too of apples and cherries. We earned activity points by dancing ... A LOT.

The next morning at the buffet breakfast we chose wholemeal toast, cooked tomatoes, veggie sausage and scrambled egg (not bacon, not sausage and absolutely NOT fried bread OR croissants) which filled us up till mid afternoon. Then we had a tomato-ey pasta thing for a late lunch which was nice and so filling that we didn't eat again for the rest of the day. In fact, I think we were both to tired to eat! We walked our little socks off during the day getting the tube to Covent Garden, wandering around the shops, walking to Trafalgar Square and through St James's Park then the entire length of Oxford Street (which is very, very long) and back again.

Hopefully not too much damage will have been done, but I do feel like a bloater so I am not holding my breath or keeping whatever crossed for a loss. Lets see what the scales say tonight.

Gem x

PS. Do swollen knees make you weigh more? I gave my knee a right bashing on the chair in front of me at Take That and its huge and purple!

Hello Girls

Hey Girls

Just popped on quickly!!!

Haven't caught up with any posts yet, so excuse me if i've missed someat out.

Well as you will all know, i have stayed the same two weeks on the trot due to my own sillyness, so no more arsing about from me (god, i don't have repeat myself all the while). I have been super good this week, i have walked 8.5miles already this week, am planning for another 3.5m trot with the girlies tomorrow and hopefully get another one in the weekend too.

Foodwise, seem to have behaved myself so far this week, but think that's more to do with the heat and just cant be bothered with cooking.

Speak soon
