Shopping Trip - not good on the lbs or the £s

OOoooh blimey ... I certainly haven't been concentrating much on the old diet for the last couple of weeks and the blog has been sorely neglected. First I spent and entire week in bed with a very evil flu bug and this week I am on annual leave from work. On Monday Evening we ate out for my Mom's birthday and on Tuesday we went to Manchester for two days of serious shopping. I must say, we walked a fair few miles covering the entire Trafford Centre (that took us eight and a half hours!) most of the Arndale Centre and a quick mooch around the Lowry Designer Outlet village near where we were staying in a very nice little apartment at Salford Quays. Needless to say healthy eating wasn't very high on the agenda although I was made a couple of good choices but they were almost immediately cancelled out. I had a jacket potato with cottage cheese for lunch at the Trafford Centre only to be tempted by a cheese scone when we stopped for a cuppa half way round! We went to Frankie and Benny's for tea and I had a burger, which was just delish. Then yesterday I had toast for brekkie, a chicken teriyaki subway for lunch (less than 5% fat) and a HUGE iced pretzel from the arndale centre because it just looked so tasty, then pasta with four cheese sauce and garlic bread for tea when I got home as it was the quickest easiest thing I could possibly cook ... and I was POOPED after all that shopping!

I have hopped on the scales. I think I have had a 2lb gain since the last time I weighed in at Jayne's house. That's not so good. I think the plan of action for me is that I shall have to make a fresh start and pretend like it is day one of the diet and all the other gains and maintains never happened. This mondy I shall have a first weigh in and go from there. It will be easier when I am back at work and also easier if Hubby has been convinced to work on it with me (which I think he has). So, fresh start here we come!

10 food fibs that will make you fat

I have defiantly used a few of these excuses before.

Stayed the same

Ok so I didn't blog every day to keep me on track as planned. Nor did I write down my points. I am so snotty and achy that I can't even start to think about what I ate. I remember having a ham cob and a yogurt for tea on Saturday night before going up town. Then I drank 1 rose wine spritzer and 3 JD's and diet coke...or what is pepsi??? (one for you Gem). On Sunday I had a lovely roast dinner.

So I was very unsure what the scales would say last night. But I knew I'd eaten too much to have had a loss. Anyway, I was right. I have stayed the same at 10 stone 3 and a half lb. I was on my own for weigh in *sniff sniff*. It does feel lonely so I hope they are back with me next Monday :)

I purchased a gorgeous dress at the weekend for the works party next week. It is very figure hugging so I must be on my best behaviour this week as every biscuit or chocolate bar will show. I am going to seriously count my points this week and hope for a loss.

Blog Attack

I am going to try and blog every day this week. So I apologise now if I just waffle on. I just think it will keep me on track. I went to the gym last night and worked hard. But seem to have hurt my back so I am in pain today. Must have done it on the rowing machine. Boooo.

I stuck to yesterdays menu however I did have 2 salt and vinegar snack-a-jacks and a curly wurly after my tea. Still kept within points though.

Today is my usual menu. Sustain for breakfast. Ham salad for lunch (with extra light mayo as have run out of cheese triangles) and a banana for snack. I am sure I will prob go to sainbury's at lunch time to get my beloved yogurt as well. Not sure what to have for tea as yet.

I wonder where Tony hid the biscuits?? hehe. Well it worked. No biscuit munching went on and it won't happen for some time yet either. I am going to pretend biscuits don't exist.

IT'S TUESDAY!!

Duur brain, it's Tuesday not Thursday as i've just put in my post!

Choc Raisans Haunting me again!!

AAAAAAAAarrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh, i've eaten a whole bag of choc raisans after my lunch....buy them for Liv, but seem to scoff the lot before she gets her little hands on them....what is the matter with me, pinching sweets off my 2 and 1/2 year old, how wrong is that.

Really don't feel like the exercising lark either....arrrrggghhhh, may have to throttle myself shortly if i don't get back onto the wagon and start behaving myself.

Am dreading Monday's weigh in and it's only blinkin Thurs!
x

Feed a Cold, Starve a Fever

Feed a cold, starve a fever ... I think that's how the saying goes. Not sure what it means when you have a cold AND a fever. I am at the moment a sweaty snotty mess in bed. Very attractive. I don't really have the energy to prepare anything and i can't say i fancy anything much anyway. I had some marmite on toast for breakfast. Then cheese on toast for lunch (is there a pattern forming?) and i just had a cranberry cupcake washed down with squash, two ibuprofen and a decongestant. It's fair to say I feel crap, there is no chance of me doing much exercise for the next few days or spending more than ten seconds preparing anything to eat.

I didn't weigh in this week, due to not wanting to move much further than bed, but i did get on my bathroom scales and there certainly wasn't a loss. I was pretty rubbish last week really. Maybe my lack of appetite will do me a favour in a weird, ill, horrid kind of way.

Gem x

All alone at weigh in

I have now got Tony to hide the biscuits and have told him that any biscuits that ever come in to the house must be hidden straight away. This is the only way I will cure my biscuit binge.

Vix and Gem didn't make it to weigh in so I was all alone this week. The scales showed a 1/2lb gain. Not too bad at all. So I now weigh 10 stone 3 and 1/2lb. I don't feel bad about that even though I did want a loss, but as you can see from my previous post that wasn't going to happen after my butty AND indian take away.

Today I have a banana (1.5) and a special k bliss bar (1) for breakfast and I will have my sustain (3) for lunch . I have a yogurt (2) and dried fruit (1.5) for snack. I will have a chicken (2) salad with mayo (1) for tea. Thats only 12 points so I have room for something after tea. (no chocolate or biscuits allowed)

I am going to the gym Tuesday (today) and Thursday this week.

Monday Night Scive

WEll the title says it all, i shall not be attending the weigh in tonight, on the count that i have seriously misbehaved all weekend!!

Although, had a weigh in on Friday and that was a good one, had lost 4lb in the week!! So total loss is now 5lb...very good, but have ruined it all over the weekend. Getting back on track this week now, and defo think the exercising to the dvd is working, as had a good loss.

xx

I blame the butty

It was all going good. Then Friday happened lol.

I was working at another School on Friday and we got there too late for breakfast. Myself and the two lads I went with were all feeling hungry so while I had a tour of the school Jase went to get us some food. So that morning I had a HUGE bacon egg and mushroom sarnie on THICK bread. I did struggle to eat it all but it was very tasty. I then skipped lunch as I was still so full. For tea I had a yogurt and some sustain.

Saturday I had sustain for breakfast and a yogurt for lunch...but then had biscuits. I went to Vix of the evening for a girls night in and we had an Indian. I had Saag Aloo and boiled rice (half) and had 2 glasses of rose wine spritzers.

Sunday I had sustain cereal for breakfast and 2 crumpets for lunch. I was busy painting the kitchen ceiling and emptying cupboards so when I got hungry I dipped in to the biscuit barrel.

I blame the butty... Because I ate more that day it gets you in the mood for eating more the next day and the day after that etc. It's Monday so I am back at work so I will be able to behave myself now.

I have sustain for breakfast, a ham salad for lunch and a banana and yogurt for snacks. I need to make sure I go to the gym twice this week as well.

Don't think weigh in will be good news tonight.

A Little Bit Closer

Hurrah! I managed to have a loss this week! I lost 1 and 1/2 lbs which takes me down to 11st 2 and 1/2 lbs and leaves 4 and 1/2 lbs left to reach my mini goal.

Admittedly, I was hoping for a little bit more of a loss than that after hearing about some of those amazing first week losses some women have BUT I must remember that I was not a complete saint. I had a few more treats than I should have had and also I have been stuck not losing anything for so long now a change of something was such a relief!

The verdict? Core is going to work for me. I am sure of it. I just need to watch out for eating things and guestimating points like I did with that Feast. Exercise is likely to be thin on the ground this week as I have an assignment due on Friday but I will hopefully be able to squeeze in a couple of wii fit sessions and I have yoga on Thursday which I never like to miss.

Gem x

Rubbish Result

Well, the title says it all, i only lost 1lb this week. But i know why, and it's my own silly fault, Jayne very kindly reminded me of a few naughties i'd failed to include in the blog yesterday that i'd scoffed in the week (whoops) So all my own fault and i'm very disappointed in myself, as a 1lb loss in the first week is rubbish.

But a new week has started, last night i had my pizza and choc bar for my treat then as soon as madam went to bed i got the natalie cassidy exercise dvd out and did 45 mins of aerobics.....sweating like a pig afterwards, but felt very good....then this morning i have walked reg on our 1 mile trot..so behaving myself. I'm gonna get onto the exercise dvd again tonight as soon as i get in...madam will no doubt be helping me do my sit ups and laughing at me, but hey ho.

Any ideas how many extra pts i get for the exercise vid and then again for the 1 mile walk? Not intending to eat em, but just wanna record em.

x

Scales were kind

The scales were kind and showed that I have stayed the same at 10 stone 3lb. Phew. It must have been all the sorting and cleaning I did around the house all weekend. I am hoping to loose those 3lb soon. I will be good all week. No snacking on rubbish. Saturday night I am going to be having a takeaway and drinks at Vix so I need to save some points up for that.

I have had my sustain cereal this morning and I must say it did fill me up. The points for the cereal plus the milk comes to 3 points so thats pretty good. I have a salad for my lunch and not sure what to have for tea yet. I am thinking maybe pasta.

I am also going to write everything down so that I know what I'm eating and having point wise. I am going to the gym today and Thursday this week.

One Weeks Naughties

After the Feast disaster on Thursday night I was on a mission to stay on track as best as I could over the weekend. On core you are allowed 21 pts for the week, I also earned 6 bonus points by a combination of yoga class and wii fit which gave me 27 pts for off plan goodies. My total points for the week go something like this :

2 small beers - 2pts
A shortbread biscuit - 2.5pts
Olive spread - 1pt
Feast Ice Cream Lolly - 8.5pts (don't go there!)
White Wine and Soda - 5pts
Chow Mein - 2pts
3 King Prawn Balls - 3 pts
Red Wine - 4pts
Homemade Lemon Cheesecake - ?!?! (unknown)

Total - 28 pts + Cheesecake

So, as you can see I had one too many points than I should have and I ate a piece of lemon cheesecake with raspberry coulis which would be impossible (and painful) to point, so I haven't tried. Instead I skipped my evening meal on Sunday and hoped for the best, and yes I know that's naughty but I had a late breakfast and a late lunch so I really wasn't hungry. Also, in my defense I spent all day Saturday up and down ladders painting the kitchen (it looks very nice, tar) and I reckon that will have burned off a few too ... which is good as I have just remembered another 2pts that i ate ... pepper sauce made with skimmed milk and a skinny cow ice cream lolly.

This mornings sneaky weigh in said 10st 13lbs (which on Jayne's official scales is about 11st 1lb) so I am hoping to have lost at least a little something at the end of today ... and after the weigh in I'm going to have another slice of my sis-in-law's ruddy lovely cheesecake assuming Hubby hasn't beaten me to it!!!

Gem x

Jayne is going to snack less and poo more.

I have just been out to buy some Kellogg's Special K Sustain. A tasty new wholegrain flake cereal with protein and fibre that can help you feel satisfied for longer.

I am unsure of the points at the moment, however I am hoping this will stop me snacking and give me more fibre so that I will go to the loo more. Rather than my weekly visit lol.

How have I done??

Well my first week back on track adn doing Core, i just have no idea how i've done at all!! I'm so worried about getting on them blasted scales, i hate it!

I haven't been too naughty, just the odd little bit here and there, and have been counting my points and have been ok....apart from Andy forcing (well, forcing a bit strong, hadn't got my hand behind my back or anything like that!!) me to eat a bloody Wispa yesterday afternoon!! Could of throttled him when he brought it back from the shop, and of course i couldn't resist it could i. Then Liv and Andy both wanted a McDonalds when we were out, but i behaved myself and ate 1 measley chip and that was it...although could've scoffed both of their meals given half a chance.

Whoops, conveniently forgot about the 2 peices of wedding cake i scoffed at the wedding aswell..and the bits of party food too....oh well, that's it now, doubt i'll of lost much if anything at all.

Off to walk Reggie and salad for lunch, then a march round jaynes tonight if it's not raining i think.

Addicted to yogurt

I am looking back at the week just gone and thinking I have eaten too much. I have not been writing down my points so I have no idea. I have not really been eating naughty things but just feel I have eaten waaaay too many snacks.

I haven't eaten healthy nutritional meals either. For example Friday evening I had a muller corner for my tea before going out with the girls. I had a yogurt for my lunch on Saturday and I had melon and a yogurt for my lunch yesterday. NOW I know what you’re thinking. I must not have been over eating if that’s all I have been eating for meals...but it’s my snacking in between. I did only have 4 biscuits over the whole weekend but found myself eating a lot of dried fruit which I bet has lots of points along with other things, mostly healthy… but a lot of them. I had a sausage sandwich for tea last night and a curly wurly.

I am going to make sure I write everything down and not eat so many snacks this week. I am going to plan ahead my meals to make sure I am getting enough carbs, fibre etc.

It's weigh in today so I shall see how this has effected what the scales say.

All Hail Chocolate!!!

All Scream for Ice Cream

Things are going pretty well on Core. I've had some yummy meals, I've not been hungry, I've avoided cream cakes at work twice, and resisted chip shop chips. I did make a little boo boo last night when Hubby brought me back a Feast Ice Cream Lolly. I ate it without checking in the book thinking it was probably 4 or 5 points. Unfortunately it was 8.5 points! So, there goes my wine and chow mein allowance for the weekend. Aaaaarrrrrgh! Bah Humbug!

Today I had a Banana and Shredded Wheat with Skimmed Milk for breakfast and I prepared a pasta salad for lunch with green garlic olives, black olives, onion, lettuce and slow roasted tomatoes with chilli and mixed herbs followed by a strawberry yoghurt (not my favourite flavour but they are always part of a yoghurt multi pack so I have to eat them). The slow roasted tomatoes made such a difference to my salad ... they go all wrinkly and dried out and sweet and lovely which is great for the winter when salad is the last thing I want to eat. I've included the recipe below ... although it's so easy it's not even a real recipe.

Slow Roasted Tomatoes
(Free on every diet I can think of!)
  1. Preheat the oven to 140 degrees
  2. Take as many cherry tomatoes as you like and cut them in half. Place them cut-side up on a baking tray.
  3. Sprinkle the tomatoes with salt (which helps the toms dry out), pepper, mixed herbs and some paprika or a little chilli powder ... I suppose you could put crushed garlic on too.
  4. Put in the oven for one hour after which time the tomatoes should be golden and wrinkly just like the sun dried type but without a drop of oil in sight.
Gem x

PS. I also found out on the ww forums that for chicken chow mein from the Chinese takeaway, because all of the ingredients are Core you only have to allow points for the oil it was cooked in not the whole thing (that's 2-3 points instead of 7.5!) Loving the Core!

I'm having a hungry week!

I am feeling lazy. I am having one of those weeks where I am always feeling hungry. I am fine during the day as I am at work, but when i get home...I get the munchies.

I had a spag bol on Monday and have been good tea wise...but when it comes to about 9pm i find myself in the cupboard after munchies. Tut.

Yesterday I had forgotten my salad for lunch so I had a subway. Only 4 points plus some light mayo so not to bad...and I did walk to town and back. I also went to the gym and just had a salad for tea. But then I had 2 biscuits, a yogurt and a curly wurly hahaha oh dear.

I am off out tonight with Vix and a few old school friends tonight but we are not eating out so I can have tea before I go. I don't have any lunch with me today either as I have run out of a few things. Asda is delivering later so I will again have a salad for tea. I am fancying a fruit bowl for lunch and of course a new fave of mine...the healthy choice muller corner.

I am going to the gym again today. This will hopefully help get rif of a few of the calories I have been munching.

I don't have any plans for the weekend apart from again tidying the house (this time upstairs) and also attack the kitchen by emptying wall units and taking them down and maybe even trying to get the tiles off the walls. Ready for the plaster to come next week and the kitchen fitters to come the week after. Yay.

I am hoping all of this will keep me busy and away from food lol.

Well done Gem

Hey Girl, sounds as though you're really getting Core now and hoping for a big loss for me and you this week (and you Ms S Jayney!!) (very tempted to jump on Jayne's scales on fri, but think i may resist!!)

I've been really good so far (very shocked at my behaviour, as normally going tits up by now). I've had my porridge again for brekkie, then lunch was a salad with prawns and egg, only counting my extra light salad cream. Tonight for tea i've got a creamy chicken casserole i've nicked from ww website and adapted. Basically, chicken breasts cut up, onion, peas, yellow peper, carrot and all bunged in my slow cooker and mixed with LF campbells chicken soup (free on core!!)....looked scrummy when i put it on at lunchtime, gonna serve with some veg and my wholegrain rice....can't wait now.

I'm hoping to behave myself Thurs/Fri when i'm at home, as this is normally my downfall as end up scoffing when me nad Liv are in the house, but have binned all the naughty choc, so won't be having any of that and saddo that i am have already planned my lunches and tea so there will be no faffing about and i know what i've got.

Looking forward to the girls night on Friday, going to behave though and only have a couple of spirits...may be JD, or malibu and diet coke (oohhhh choices choices!) but defo not getting leathered. Have a 6 year olds party on saturday lunchtime, which i'm dreading as i know they'll be loads of naughty things there to eat, lets just hope i manage to behave myself as will be very cross if i slip up.

Exercise has been rubbish this week, been so busy once i get home just haven't had five minutes to myself!! poor excuse i know

Bring on the dieting.... i shall be think (chanting to myself at my desk now!)

xx

Core Blimey!

Well, so far core has being going well for me. It's Wednesday ... day two of the new plan and I haven't had any disasters yet. I think Vix was right about my not eating a good enough lunch yesterday. I was ravenous by the time I left the office but managed not to indulge in any snacking before tea was cooked.

Today I had weetabix for breakfast, a jacket potato with baked beans and salad for lunch and for tea ... well I don't really know. There is a leftover portion of home made, low fat, accidentally 'core', chicken saag aloo in the freezer which I might have with some rice. Or I might cobble together a tomato and olive pasta sauce. That's about all I can think of really as the cupboards are bare. No fear though, the shopping will be delivered this evening and all will be well (Hubby is in to take the delivery while I'm out mooching around Dunelm).

The weight watchers community forums are being helpful in getting this diet to make more sense to me. Today I have been told that I don't have to count any points for bisto, I can eat avocado for free (hurrah!) and core does definitely work if you stick to it.

Yesterday I used two syn... I mean points on two small bottles of lager (1pt each). Today I have used 2.5 points on a shortbread biscuit. Tomorrow I probably shan't have any which leaves plenty for the weekend. I shall need them. On Saturday we are supposed to be going out for a meal to Naughty Nell's in Shifnal. I don't think that will be too difficult to stick to plan as it's a Mongolian all you can eat menu where you fill a bowl with your choice of raw meat, vegetables, noodles and stuff and they are then cooked in front of you on a big hot plate while being flipped around with two sticks. As long as I steer clear of any sauces (and dessert) that should be fine. Sunday afternoon is lunch at Sister-In-Law's. Not so easy to stay on plan, but a roast shouldn't be too bad (again, must beware of dessert).

GEM

Hi Hun

Well done on scoffing all the naughties, i have been doing that for the past 2 days, now all finally gone, although found a pack of caramel shortbread biscuity things in cereal cupboard this morning.....hidden them at the back where i can't see em.

Just one teeny bit of advice with core, you're not eating enough at lunch!! You need to be having something more substantial hun, like jkt spud, pasta, rice, salad or soup....don't think just having fruit will be enough?!??! Shoot me down if i'm wrong, but had a quick read of one of my ww books at lunch, it had a kickstart menu in there and it was suggesting the above for lunch...

I've scoffed, ham and prawn salad and just had a yummy mandarin mueller light, really enjoyed....haven't had a craving for any chocolate just yet, but gonna ignore it when it comes.

Vix
xx

Getting Ready for Core

Despite being absolutely convinced of a gain, I managed to stay the same at this week's weigh in. That's 11st 4lbs. 6lbs left to lose for the 7lbs in 7 weeks challenge by the 3rd November. All of the naughty food has gone from our house (Hubby and I scoffed the last bit of apple tart and shared my Cadbury's Wispa - that's true love that is, letting him have some of your last remaining chocolate bar) and I'm ready for going CORE!

... well almost. I still need to do a supermarket shop. I think i'm actually going to have to go to the supermarket myself rather than do it online. I'm busy busy busy all week so the only night I can take delivery is today and I was too late to book a slot by about 20mins (last check out is 10am) how annoying. So I'll be kicking it old school and visiting the supermarket later on. Pah.

Core plan for today ... Weetabix with skimmed milk and a banana for brekkie, Fruit salad for lunch(apple, pinapple, kiwi, grapes, banana), and roast chicken with baked potato and veg for tea. I wont eat any of my weekly points today if I can help it.

Determined Girl Here

Well the weigh in wasn't too bad, had only put 2 and 3/4lbs back on, which wasn't too bad considering the scoffing that has been going on.

Am very focused now, am really looking forward to getting stuck in core. I've had my porridge for brekkie this morning and didn't scoff the lot, as the focus on core is stopping when you feel full not just scoffing the lot as you know you should!! So reggie snaffled the last of my porridge. Got salad with ham and prawns at lunch, then cooking cottage pie with lots of veg for tea....only pts i;ll have consumed for today will by my extra light salad cream, so not too bad.

Still putting my craving essence drops in my drink too, lets hope that starts to take effect soon.

We can do it girls
x

Happy Weigh-in

I was worried about weigh in (as always). However I was pleased to see a 1lb loss. I now weigh 10s 3lb. Ace :) I am going to try and get to 10 stone I think. But I am not going to rush about it. As long as I'm there by Christmas.

Glad to have Vix back on board :)

I have just booked myself in to the gym on Wednesday and Friday. They have started a new 30 minute spinning class on a wednesday so I may give that a go. If not I will just stick to my usual routine.

My 2 good friends are both doing core this week. I am sticking to the points diet as I don't feel prepared for core but I may give it a go next week.

Fat Ass is back in the building!!

Hey Girlies

Well after my spectacular falling off the wagon a few weeks ago, i have done nothing but scoff this weekend in readiness for being back on the wagon...which i suppose is very wrong, but hey ho i binged like a good un.

I'm back at saint Jaynes tonight and do you know what, i'm quite looking forward to getting myself back on track and being slimmer (yes, i hear you shouting "we've heard it all before") but i've gotta get on with it. Have decided to do the Core WW plan this time, as worked very well last few times i've done it and find it easier than the points for some reason.

I have also promised myself that i must go on my x trainer at least 3 times a week (£50 down the drain otherwise).

I have also brought some homepathic Craving Essence which i read about in a magazine the other week, 5 drops in your water 3 times a day and it's supposed to stop you craving stuff!! Can't see it working to be honest, shall probably swigging from the bottle soon to feel the effects.

xx

Going Hard Core

Well, My weekend had it's ups and downs. I wasn't horrendously naughty but I did have wine on Friday (three glasses) and pizza on Saturday (margarita with olives, anchovies and fresh basil). That's the extent of my naughtiness ... though I didn't really exercise either. I feel a little bit like a weeble today so I'm not looking forward to weigh in, but i'll be there or be square.

There are four weeks left of my seven lbs in seven weeks challenge now. Hmmmm assuming I haven't gained tonight (and I might have) I have six lbs to lose in four weeks. Still doable just about. BUT if I have gained tonight, even just a couple of lbs it will be tricky. So i'm looking at 1 and 1/2 to 2lb per week loss till the end of the challenge depending on tonight's weigh in. It's OK. I can still do it.

I'm changing approach. My attempt at slimming world last week was quite a disaster really. I kept eating things by mistake that I thought wouldn't take me over my points but did ... like I had a light muller rice and it was 6 SYNS! And another day I forgot I had had both my HEb choices and had a wholemeal bread roll, also 6 syns if it's not a HE. And I had ham on a green day and on Friday I ate out and had chicken pasta so I don't know what day I was on. I just got all confused!

For the remaining four weeks of the challenge I am changing my tactics. I know, I do this a lot don't I? This time I mean it. I am going to try the Weight Watchers CORE plan. It's the diet that Vix is following and it seems like a cross between slimming world and the weight watchers points diet. You have a list of free foods (all non processed) which includes your lean meats, fish, potatoes, rice and pasta, fruit and veg, skimmed milk, cereals, low fat yoghurt. Basically everything on the free foods list of slimming world except you can have green foods and red foods on the same day and there are no HEs. You then have 21 points per week for treats and stuff that isn't on the free list like sauces or booze and chocolate. I assume I can also earn bonus points by doing exercise like on the points diet, which will encourage me to get off my arse and actually go to spinning or wherever if it means an extra glass of wine or two. I'm also going to try and rope Hubby into doing this with me. I'll let you know how that goes!

Gem x

Hey Vix

Where have you gone? We miss you :)

See you later for weigh in. I AM GOING TO BE STRICT AND MAKE YOU COME EVERY WEEK :P

Jayne x

Let's call it an "Oh dear" weekend.

So last week I had a burger in a bun with chips, a wispa and a spag bol. Apart from that I had been good. Then Friday happened. I was well behaved during the day and went to the gym after work. However as soon as I got home my mind turned to food and I started eating a few biscuits, then had a yogurt and had jam on toast for tea. I then went shopping and as I was putting the biscuits away I found myself opening them and eating more. Why do I do this???

Saturday I had my usual banana and cereal bar for breakfast. I had pineapple and a shapers choc bar for lunch and Tony took me out for a lovely meal Saturday night. I had chicken breast cooked in mushroom, pepper, onion and red wine sauce and a bruschetta topped with cheese, peppers and oregano. Tony then ordered a pudding and asked for 2 spoons (aaah how romantic hehe) so I also had some profiteroles.

Sunday I starting feeling a little unwell, sore throat, head ache etc but was on a mission to clean and sort the house so I found myself comfort eating. Yes...the biscuits came out yet again along with other naughty things. Not good.

It's not looking good for today's weigh in is it!!!

Working Out

Mid Week Progress Update

Well, I have done what I said I would ... I am keeping track of everything that passes my lips religiously. Slimming world now have a Food Diary on their members website in which you can store all of your eatings. It has a built in syn search and lists of healthy extras so it's SUPER easy to keep track and also you can't cheat and pretend that just because the X that you ate was only a small one it would be one or two less syns than it says in the book (one of my favourite tricks).

I can see why I haven't lost any weight since I stopped writing things down ... It is very easy to go over syns when you are guestimating because syns are so much higher than the weight watchers points which are ingrained on my brain (they are usually about double which sounds a lot but don't forget how much food is free). It's taking me a couple of days to adjust back on to doing the diet actually. I didn't realise how far off track I had gone. I'm back on track though now and feeling good about it. As long as I keep writing it down!!!

So it's spinach and potato curry with rice for tea tonight ... it's a Green Day. I had beans on wholemeal toast for breakfast and I'm having fruit for lunch and a treatsize crunchie (4 syns) for a treat with a cuppa this afternoon. I haven't had a HEa choice yet as I didn't have my usual weetabix and therefore no milk. I might have an options hot chocolate (2 syns) made with milk tonight to make sure I have my calcium intake or I could use the milk to make up a no added sugar Angel Delight (3 syns for 1/4 packet or 5.5 for 1/2). Decisions, decisions.

So far...

I had my Cadbury's Wispa last night. It was very yum. Really enjoyed it. It was 5 points which means I had 22 1/2 points. I had soup for tea which was delish as it had huge chunks of veg and pasta. I had this with 2 slices of wholemeal bread.

I DIDN'T have salad at all yesterday. I did make one for lunch, but for some reason I didn't fancy it so I just had a few grapes and strawberries and a muller corner yogurt for lunch.

I am going to the gym tonight so will work off that wispa :D
